CALGARY SUN-ENTERTAINMENT IN BLUE SKY CITY “BREAKING NEWS”

This reporter just woke up from a much needed nap after returning from an exciting Christmas Party at the Kerby Centre – ADP Thursday group. It was an exciting day attended by  approximately 30 persons including Staff , Clients and Guests.  After a chilly ride to the party the guests were welcomed by the extremely friendly staff and served hot TIM Horton’s coffee and either gourmet muffins or crackers and cheese. The morning snack was followed by a mind bending reading of the “ Daily Chronicle’ and Christmas song trivia. Client Jim , who knows everything, answered most of the questions. This reporter  scored a big zero. Tough to be athletic and smart.

An invigorating work was directed by Chelsea, who says we will do 10  but stops at 15 , but definitely gets all the kinks out with her masterly directed exercises.

At 11:15 Staff and clients proceeded to the cafeteria to meet their invited family and friends for a delicious Turkey and all the trimmings dinner ( Yum Yum). This was a wonderful treat served with smiles and courtesy by the ADP staff under the direction of Steph… I mean Sarah Cook. This was day four of a five day party program and it was terrific. This reporter could not undertake something like this at any time.  All the Staff and guests enthusiastically thanked the Chef. This show of appreciation being the nature of the staff and clients in the ADP program. The afternoon was filled with music and laughter as Christmas songs were sung (?) with joy and enthusiasm. Sometimes everyone sang together at the same time. After a few draws for substantial prizes there was a contest to name Christmas songs  from pictures and stuff on a sheet.  This reporter was accused of trying to look at someone else’s sheet ( a close relative), but being blind in one eye pleaded innocence. During the activities the Manager , Mrs. Cook and staff delivered the ‘Beautiful calendars and managed the sale of client made craft items. On the way home I enjoyed eating the gift I bought for my Daughter.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE ADP  STAFF FOR ALL THE HARD WORK AND CONSIDERATION  IN PUTTING ON THIS DINNER  AND ALL THEIR EFFORTS DURING THE YEAR. This reporter believes the clients  are truly blessed  to be part of this program and wishes everyone a healthy and happy holiday season!!!

Signing off for 2025... Plus it’s 9:00 and time for bed
