African Djembe Drumming Sessions

In each session, Trudy guides participants through authentic rhythms from Guinea, building full musical arrangements using polyrhythms, call-and-response techniques, and cultural storytelling.

Djembes are provided, and beginners are warmly welcomed.

About the Facilitator: with more than 20 years of teaching experience, Trudy leads the African dance accompaniment ensemble at Decidedly Jazz Danceworks and performs with Hakili Drum and Dance. Inspired by her teacher, Mamady Keita, she shares the belief that, this music is for everyone.
