Wording for your Will
Residual Gift: You can name the residue of your estate or a specific gift or a percentage of the residue. The residue is what remains after taxes, administrative expenses, and your heirs have received their specific gifts.

Gift of Securities to Unison Society
When you donate publicly traded stocks, mutual funds and other Canadian securities directly to a charity, you do not pay the capital gains tax, and you receive a tax receipt for the full amount of the gift. The tax receipt is issued for the market value of the assets on the day they are transferred to Unison Society.
