Patricia Jeffery will take you on a guided voyage through our solar system, stopping off for a detailed look at each planet. She will also talk about the Sun, how our Moon formed, and why Pluto got demoted to a dwarf planet.

Pat has been an amateur astronomer for ten years and is currently the chair of public education and outreach for the Calgary Centre of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada. For the past two years, she has written a monthly astronomy article entitled “Stargazing with Pat J” for the Calgary community newsletters.
Her background is critical care nursing; having flown for STARS air ambulance for many years. She also worked at various nursing stations in the high arctic. Her hobbies include writing, playing her guitar and learning piano.
