Unison means working together to create a better way. As an organization, we are working to help all seniors live their best lives, in a way that works for them.
Our staff, volunteers, and government funding can only take us so far. We need our communities to help us help our seniors to thrive. On a local level, you get to choose how you want your community to operate, and then take steps to make that happen.
The steps you choose can take many forms:
- Donating your time by volunteering
- Donating non-perishable food
- Donating grocery cards, technology, or car that isn’t working (it gets picked up)
- Donating financially
Around the holidays especially, we are looking for financial support. Financial donations go further than you think. When we can invest in our projects and show we’ve done our due diligence, we can find partners and grants that will match or exceed the donations we’ve already received. You help us take our first steps and allow us to keep moving.
The old saying, “you need money, to make money” really isn’t that far off.
Right now, our Help for the Holidays campaign is aiming to raise $50,000 by the end of 2022 and it’s support from people like you that will help make this happen.
