Food is one of the most important and vital needs to be met in our communities. Unison’s Thrive program aims to combat hunger through a variety of projects and initiatives.

    through our grocery store model
  • Criteria: older adults 50+, registration required/by
    appointment only
  • Make an appointment to visit the market:

Grocery Delivery & Friendly Visits

  • Grocery shopping, delivery and friendly visits by volunteers
  • Orders can be placed once every 2 weeks
  • Criteria: low-income, homebound older adults 50+,
    requires initial home visit by Thrive staff
  • Cost: $5 delivery + cost of groceries

The Garden Studio

The Garden Studio is a plant store with purpose. It is located in the Unison at Kerby Centre building, on the second floor, Room 214.

Open Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

All proceeds support Unison’s Thrive Food Security programs, helping seniors access food, connection, and community.

How will my order be shipped? - 
Your order will be shipped within 15-20 business days from the end of the fundraising campaign.

Can we pay for extra shipping to have the order shipped to my home? -
We currently ship all orders to the fundraising organization or coordinator.

What if I miss the fundraising campaign dates, can I still order? -
Unfortunately, we are not able to accept late orders for a fundraising campaign..

What if my order has substitutes? -
If a product is sold out, we will provide a substitute that is similar to the variety, at an equal or higher price where available.

If I order from the main WCS website, will this order go to my fundraiser? -
No, all orders must be placed on the fundraising site.

Where will I find my orders? -
Order confirmations will be sent to your email address after the order has been placed. When the fundraising period has closed, orders will be sent to the fundraising coordinator for distribution.

How do I pay for the fundraiser? -
Payment is processed online via credit card.
