Compensation: $17 per hour
Terms of Employment: Fixed Term Contract – 8 weeks
Location: Calgary
Job Purpose:
To support the Unison accreditation renewal process through the Canadian Accreditation Council contributing to compliance by reviewing staff records, updating training resources and safety processes. This role will be working closely with the Senior Manager of Planning and the Senior Manager of Human Resources.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Accessing staff files on the on-line ADP system and reviewing for required documentation. Working with the Senior Manager of HR to assure that required documentation is present on the files.
• Accessing staff files on the on-line ADP system and reviewing for required yearly training and notify staff of missing documents or missing training.
• Updating training resources including:
Harassment and Abuse Training Module
Incident Reporting Training Module
Self-Harm Training Module
3-month and 6-9month training checklists
Working with Managers to review job descriptions. Ensuring that new job descriptions are signed by current staff.
• Risk management activities including updating the incident reporting system, instigating a mid-year review of incident reports, working with the Volunteer Coordinator to provide safety training to volunteers.

Job Requirements:
Applicants should meet the following criteria to be eligible for the Canada Summer Jobs program:
- Age between 15 to 30 years
- Be a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident (International students are not eligible)
Competencies:
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- must be flexible in the use of different computer programs This includes learning an HR program (ADP) and Sharepoint and using MS programs such as Outlook, Powerpoint and Excel.
- candidates with an interest or education in non-profit administration, in human resources or accreditation will be a good fit for the position
- Detail orientation, self- motivation and the ability to switch between jobs are important aspects of this role.
- Education of interest in working with non for profit administration, Human Resources or accreditation, is an asset.
- Strong time management.
- Work well independently but in the context of a team approach.
Working Hours:
Summer youth are required to work 8 weeks, 35 hours/week starting as soon as possible. Hours will be 8am to 4pm including a one hour of unpaid lunch break.
