Active Aging

There’s no reason aging can’t be fun, exciting and full of new experiences!  

Unison’s Active Aging departments offers a variety of programs, activities, trips and other opportunities to keep a spring in your step and a smile on your face. 

Courses and programming

Courses are instructor-led opportunities, at various levels, for older adults to engage and connect physically, emotionally and socially.   

Physical fitness — from gentle classes like chair yoga and tai chi to cardio workouts — some include music like Zumba and Feet to the Beat  

Educational programs  

  • Learn a new language  
  • Express or bring out your creative/artistic side through art 
  • Share your joy of music with singing or learning to play an instrument

Drop-in activities

We provide low-cost opportunities for generations 50+ to engage in the enjoyment of social interaction in a non-instructional setting. Enjoy the comradery of a cribbage game, physical activities like pickleball or badminton, or enjoying the company of others while you knit for a worthy cause. 

Online connection

Over the last few years, we discovered we were not serving a substantial portion of our generation's 50+ community. Whether you are dealing with mobility issues, health issues, transportation issues or you are just too far away to visit one of our locations: we see you. Our online programs and presentations are top of mind for us, and we are working to grow these offerings for our online community.
